Dimension EDGE has proven itself to be the undisputed leader in the auxiliary
power industry. We have prided ourselves on picking the very best engines
available for use as our power supply systems. First of all they must be
dependable and second they have to pack a wallop! After all this time
there have been only two engines that have stood up to the demands we ask of
them. The Tecumseh 49er has been the mainstay of our company for years.
Thousands of these engines are being used worldwide. We now offer the
Mitsubishi ENCORE. It is a more powerful yet quieter engine which offers higher
speeds and better gas mileage. Either engine will provide you with many years of
satisfaction and performance.
Drive wheels in different
ratios are included free of charge allowing the operator adjust our engine
system to handle almost any chore.
We implement aspen,
aggregate, or urethane drive wheels as the driving force for our system instead
of chains, gears, pulleys, belts and all of the devices our competitors
use. Our aspen derivative drive wheel is safe, lowers cost, and it does
not wear out tires. It never get hot or breaks. The drive wheels come in
different diameters so the user can go from a slower hill climber to a long
distance high speed touring machine in minutes. The aggregate composition
off-road drive wheel loves to sling mud, water, and muck without damaging the
system or bike.
All components and cables are handcrafted or
assembled in the USA of the highest quality materials available. Our drive
train, aluminized mounts, aviation grade fasteners and hardware, Teflon/brass
bushings combine to create a bicycle power system that's smooth, safe, user
friendly and easy to install. Engine and transmission mounts are laser cut to
precision tolerances for a perfect fit.
One can bias the ratio of the gearing on the Dimension
EDGE systems to act like a Range Rover
one day and touring cafe racer the next by simply changing the drive
wheel. Speeds range from 3 MPH to 30 MPH depending on road conditions and
incline when using a standard size drive wheel.
Dimension
EDGE tripped the lights through the 1/4 mile track at Lewistown Speedway Elevation
4500 MSLwith an elapsed time of 34.25 seconds at an average speed of
25.6 MPH and a top speed of 34.8 MPH using a 1.4 BHP engine. This was back in
1992 when things were slow!
